Q: I’ve never painted. I don’t have an easel, paints, or a palette. What do I need to bring to class?
A: All painting supplies will be provided by the instructor. You might want to bring a beverage or snacks.

A: I prefer to provide all supplies so that class rates are consistent. This also protects your supplies from being confused with all the other brushes, knives, and palettes in the classroom.

A: We use oil paints and an acrylic Gesso from the Bob Ross Company.

Q: When I paint at home do I need to use the Bob Ross products?
A: Yes. The paints and brushes used in class were designed specifically for the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique. Using other paints and brushes you may not achieve the same results.

Q: Do I need to wear special clothing to paint?
A: Older clothes are best. Despite your best efforts paint often gets on the tablecloth or your hands and then transfers to your clothes. You can remove oil paint from your clothing if you treat it as soon as possible with Dawn or Joy dish washing liquid.

A: Yes. To insure that each student receives the time and attention necessary to succeed, classes are limited to ten participants.
